Mitos, logos e pathos: tra infanzia, poesia e consapevolezza

This paper views the Greek mythology as a textual lode of wisdom about humanity. This hermeneutic analysis aims at meeting the needs of renewed educational capabilities and of a new humanism. These needs have, therefore, an anthropological and psychic nature, whereby the words of the myth unravel the semantic and linguistic universe of πάθος, without which any λόγος would be mute or unidi- rectional. The author means to show how and how much the myth doesn’t simply belong to the youth of humanity. In the opposite it con- tinues to be relevant for the present times and for the contemporary civilization. And even if one wished to reduce the myth to the infancy, the latter is meant as the place of epiphany and surprise, of wonder and poetry, and therefore as the eminent place of mindfulness.

Nel presente articolo si interpreta il mito greco come giacimento di narratività e di sapienza intorno all’umanità. L’analisi ermeneutica vuole rispondere alle esigenze di una rinnovata educabi- lità e di un nuovo umanesimo: esigenze antropologiche e psichiche. Le parole del mito concernono l’universo semantico e linguistico del πάθος, senza il quale ogni λόγος sarebbe muto oppure unidirezionale. L’intenzione dell’autrice è mostrare quanto e come il mito ecceda l’ancoraggio all’infanzia dell’umanità e ospiti per contro una radicale domanda sul presente, sulla contemporaneità. Chi voglia ricondurre il mito all’infanzia, troverà in esso il luogo dell’epifania, della sorpresa, della meraviglia e della poesia, in definitiva il luogo per eccellenza del- la consapevolezza.
