This article analyzes interlinguistic translation in Beauty [Nosilatiaj. la belleza] (2012), film written and directed by Andrea Seggiaro. The film allows us to study the relationship between Wichí (phenomenon of code-switching and code-mixing) and Spanish from a cultural, linguistic and proxemic perspective through different passages in which alternately the characters dialogue in Spanish and in Wichí. The young protagonist will use Wichí, her native language, to evoke the moment when, an apparently banal event redefines her future.
