There are many definitions of biodiversity and landscape. The original meaning of Biodiversity islinked to concrete actions against the loss of a natural heritage that is not only made up of organisms, but above all of relationships and functions. Also the landscape derives from the relationships between natural and human factors and can be interpreted through a perception that seeks its identity value. The forts are signs of the landscape and at the same time can host a rich biodiversity. The Genoese fortifications represent an ideal training ground for developing, through multidisciplinary analysis, evaluation and proposal, a land planning that builds a bridge between the core areas of culture and those of nature.

Abstract
There are many definitions of biodiversity and landscape. The original meaning of Biodiversity islinked to concrete actions against the loss of a natural heritage that is not only made up of organisms, but above all of relationships and functions. Also the landscape derives from the relationships between natural and human factors and can be interpreted through a perception that seeks its identity value. The forts are signs of the landscape and at the same time can host a rich biodiversity. The Genoese fortifications represent an ideal training ground for developing, through multidisciplinary analysis, evaluation and proposal, a land planning that builds a bridge between the core areas of culture and those of nature.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
