I implement a MATLAB ® function (for_3DFFT_mag) for calculating magnetic anomalies from a 3D distribution of magnetization, which can be loaded interactively through an user-friendly graphic interface. The forward calculation engine is based on a 3D Fast Fourier Transform computation, that gives accurate results in a very short computing time, making the use of this program particularly suitable for 3D interactive modeling of observed magnetic anomalies. © 2012 Elsevier Ltd.
