The paper analyzes some aspects of Giovanni Tuzet’s recent book "Analogia e ragionamento giuridico". Its structure is as follows: 1) first, I review some theoretical points, such as the formal reconstruction of analogical inference, the composite notion of extensive interpretation, and the theoretical explanation of the a contrario argument; 2) second, I put forward some remarks on the practice of jurists regarding the use of analogy, and argue that it is doubtful that it only applies where the law is incomplete; 3) finally, I address “derived normative gaps” and their relationship with analogy in the criminal law field.

Abstract
The paper analyzes some aspects of Giovanni Tuzet’s recent book "Analogia e ragionamento giuridico". Its structure is as follows: 1) first, I review some theoretical points, such as the formal reconstruction of analogical inference, the composite notion of extensive interpretation, and the theoretical explanation of the a contrario argument; 2) second, I put forward some remarks on the practice of jurists regarding the use of analogy, and argue that it is doubtful that it only applies where the law is incomplete; 3) finally, I address “derived normative gaps” and their relationship with analogy in the criminal law field.File in questo prodotto:
