The essay highlights the important role played by the Italian Constitutional Court in the progressive extension of the limits to the amendability of the decree-laws during theirs conversion. In particular, it is examined the use of the "homogeneity” in relation to the “necessity and urgency” conditions. Finally, the author investigates the possibility of carrying out a check on the existence of the “urgency” requirement of the changes made to the decree-laws during the conversion
