Carlo Levi nella corrispondenza di John Farrar e Roger Straus

This article focuses on the relationships between Carlo Levi and the publishers John Farrar and Roger Straus attested in the Farrar, Straus & Giroux, Inc. records archive at the New York Public Library. Through the links with other Levi’s documents kept in Italian libraries and archives, the paper traces the steps of their collaboration from the editing of Christ Stopped at Eboli (1947) to the release of Words are Stones (1958), the last Levi’s work published by Farrar and Straus.
