Un’associazione a delinquere. Cupido, Venere e un possibile modello virgiliano nel proemio dell’Aegritudo Perdicae

The text of the Latin epyllion Aegritudo Perdicae was transmitted by a single 15th century ms. which is conspicuous for its many errors and faults. The proem’s final part stands out as one of the text’s most disputed loci vexati. The present article proposes a new conjecture for a much-debated reading at v. 9, identifying in support a possible Virgilian echo.
