On the basis of the exegesis of pagan and christian texts the author proposes some considerations on the image of Numa as legum auctor. The author in particular notes the manipulation of the myth of Numa and Egeria by Augustine with the intent to deny the divine origin of the laws of the Roman rex to reserve it only for Mosè.
