NAUTICA E DESIGN. CERTEZZE E CONTRADDIZIONI DI UN MADE IN ITALY RICONOSCIUTO NEL MONDO

Sono italiani i tre maggiori brand produttori ed esportatori di motoryacht nel mondo: Azimut-Benetti, Ferretti e Sanlorenzo. Le loro imbarcazioni affermano un’eccellenza del Made in Italy e dell’Italian Design che trae le proprie origini nel post secondo dopoguerra quando, con un repentino ribaltamento di paradigmi, nasce la prima produzione industriale di settore e si afferma, quale archetipo della fortunata esportazione attuale, il motoryacht mediterraneo. Il saggio, tramite una sintesi critica delle figure chiave che hanno segnato il Design Nautico nell’ultimo cinquantennio, intende evidenziare i filoni di ricerca utili a indirizzare uno sviluppo, sostenibile e credibile, della progettazione di settore. The major boatyards in the world for yachts production are Italian. They are Azimut-Benetti, Ferretti and Sanlorenzo. Their yachts declare the excellence of Made in Italy and of Italian Design. That excellence origins in the second post world-war when, in consequence of an overturning of paradigms, the first industrial production of the nautical sector was born. At the same time the Italian motor-yacht, nowadays considered the archetype of our present production, finds confirmation. After and thanks to incisive summary of the key characters that have built the Nautical Design during the last fifty years, the aim of the paper is to declare and underline the lines of research useful for developing a sustainable and reliable way of designing within the nautical sector.
