Abstract

In the present paper two operational strategies for the optimization of a cogenerative plant of 100kWe size are compared: the first one aims to maximize the primary energy saving, while the second aims to maximize the self-consumption of electrical energy in order to reduce the impact of the grid and system costs. The results of the two strategies are compared from both the environmental and economic standpoints.
