This chapter reveals and confirms the implicit association between space and lightness by looking at the correlation between these two domains in two narratives (Demian, by Hermann Hesse and The Rocky Horror Picture Show by Jim Sherman). In both texts there is a strong association between the two domains used to create meaning in the unfolding of the plot. This association is then verified through the application of an IAT (Implicit Association Test), an experimental procedure aimed at verifying the Implicit Association between two concepts without necessary conscious elaboration. This publication is an adapted and elaborated version of the author's MA thesis.

Abstract
This chapter reveals and confirms the implicit association between space and lightness by looking at the correlation between these two domains in two narratives (Demian, by Hermann Hesse and The Rocky Horror Picture Show by Jim Sherman). In both texts there is a strong association between the two domains used to create meaning in the unfolding of the plot. This association is then verified through the application of an IAT (Implicit Association Test), an experimental procedure aimed at verifying the Implicit Association between two concepts without necessary conscious elaboration. This publication is an adapted and elaborated version of the author's MA thesis.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
