When validating simulation models against experimental data, model adequacy and accuracy is quantitatively measured by performance indexes that quantify various kinds of distances between vectors: amplitude, slope, peaks, etc. Selected performance indexes are used to validate a simulation model against experimental data characterized by a very low uncertainty for the specific application, i.e. supply network of electric traction systems. Several positions and operating conditions are considered, resulting in “good”, “very good”, and even “excellent” performance, following the interpretation scale of the IEEE Std. 1597.2

Abstract
When validating simulation models against experimental data, model adequacy and accuracy is quantitatively measured by performance indexes that quantify various kinds of distances between vectors: amplitude, slope, peaks, etc. Selected performance indexes are used to validate a simulation model against experimental data characterized by a very low uncertainty for the specific application, i.e. supply network of electric traction systems. Several positions and operating conditions are considered, resulting in “good”, “very good”, and even “excellent” performance, following the interpretation scale of the IEEE Std. 1597.2File in questo prodotto:
