The new extension in the Port of Beirut, Lebanon, consists of a container terminal. The port harbors very large ships never seen before in the area. These new activities result in noise levels not experienced before by port users as well as neighbouring populations. This work builds on prior surveys, measurements and noise mapping done in the Port of Tripoli and analyses recent field measurements performed in the port of Beirut.
