The paper provides insights on the ownership, governance and networking of the Genoa University spin-offs making reference to their set-up and development. The main outcomes of the analysis concern the ownership structures, the lack of entrepreneurial spirit of the scholars and the role of a small number of Departments in enabling a favorable networking.
