Abstract

In hospitals there are several technological plants that are influencing the risk level associated to operations: one failure to this plants is able to introduce source of risks and subsequently need to be controlled. In this paper the authors analyze the role of early warning in maintenance of blood refrigerators as a way to control the risk of blood shortage using an hybrid simulation driven by FMEA/FMECA analysis. A complete case study is here presented and discussed.
