This essay introduces the thought of Stanisław Brzozowski (1878-1911), who was an outstanding Polish philosopher, literary critic and writer, by commenting an Italian selection of his texts. Brzozowski’s works are a very important contribution to the European philosophy of culture, which he developed in the light of an original conception of labour and human emancipation. His thought combined motifs of German, French, Italian, Russian and Anglo-American contemporary currents with the Polish Romantic tradition of philosophy of action.
