Titania and Alumina are among the most promising elements for dental nanotechnological developments. Composites used nowadays for restorative dentistry result from long term investigations and show high quality standards in many industrial products. The present work aims to optimize some of the properties of restorative polymeric resins as mechanical strength, surface characteristics and homogeneous distribution. The exploitation of further improvements based on nanostructured properties as the surface porosity of Alumina and the interlink offered by Titania nanotubes are investigated. Present results suggest that the implementation on currently used dental materials of the new filler based on the interlinking offered by nanotubes represents a promising feature for high strength materials performances.
