First considerations for an adobes mensiochronology

This research studies mud-brick (adobe) in the province of Alessandria, with the purpose to expand the knowledge about these buildings and to establish new mud-brick chronology research tools for direct dating. One of the aspects analyzed, the object of this contribution, has been to a possible dating of the elements of direct sources. “Direct sources” are those sources that draw information from the building itself. This is in line with the archaeological method, and these tools fall into that discipline called "Archaeology Architecture", of which was Tiziano Mannoni precursor. Increasing the tools of knowledge structures in clay and mud-brick is helpful especially in cases of "minor building" where it is not possible to have any other form of information (e.g. archives, etc.). More specifically, for the above-mentioned area (Alessandria Province, Italy), among other tools, we assessed the possibility of applying the mud-brick mensio-chronology technique.
