This paper proposes a complete experimental / numerical comparison, carried out at the Marine Structures Testing Lab of the University of Genoa, Italy, on the evaluation of the inter-laminar shear strength in composite laminates typically used in the marine industry and offshore wind energy, manufactured including a non-negligible percentage of voids, in order to assess its effects on the inter-laminar shear strength. The specimens originally obtained from larger panels made by preimpregnated fabrics, were manufactured according to the ASTM standard D3846-79, which is the test required by most Classification Societies for the evaluation of the inter-laminar shear strength of composites.

Abstract
This paper proposes a complete experimental / numerical comparison, carried out at the Marine Structures Testing Lab of the University of Genoa, Italy, on the evaluation of the inter-laminar shear strength in composite laminates typically used in the marine industry and offshore wind energy, manufactured including a non-negligible percentage of voids, in order to assess its effects on the inter-laminar shear strength. The specimens originally obtained from larger panels made by preimpregnated fabrics, were manufactured according to the ASTM standard D3846-79, which is the test required by most Classification Societies for the evaluation of the inter-laminar shear strength of composites.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
