Abstract
In many contemporary architectures the venustas seems to be determined by a specific will to communicate the sustainability of the intervention, by the emphasizing of integrated technological innovations supposed to assure the eco-compatibility of the intervention itself, even when the use of sustainable elements alone may be not enough to assure sustainability. The elements of architecture, beyond performing their functions into the project, can have a symbolic function. So that one could wonder if there already exists, today, a full-blown sustainability aesthetic we can refer to. The answer is no, or not yet: but an analysis of architectural magazines from 1970 shows several recurrent similar approaches, that we tried to classify with the aid of as many labels.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
