Abstract
The technological advances affect the building sector, directlyor not, and stimulate the architectural design to give new outcomes. However, so as technological advances come into the “common practice”, it is necessary that the framework of the building process and the technological culture of its operators change. Timber building systems have recently moved towards substantial industrialization and production efficiency principles. The paper takes as example timber constructions, in order to show the actual effects of the technological development on design process. It also shows that the technological culture plays a key role in the relationship between designer and builder, in order to achieve a conscious project.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
