The article deals with the book on the Modern Theocratic Theories by the Italian philosopher of law Antonio Falchi. It is divided in two main sections: the former is devoted to the scholar's analysis on the theme of theocratic theories in the western modern and contemporary political tradition, the latter analyzes the heated debate that followed the publication of this book on the most important national and international journals at the beginning of the XX century.
