Smartphones and mobile devices have changed the habits of many people in communication and interaction. Moreover, network support is more and more reliable, connection costs decrease, and data exchange is faster. In this scenario, the paradigm of cloud computing is taking place in many applications, designed for a variety of services. This reflects in new challenges for education too. Enabling the design of innovative learning solutions results in improving students’ performances, sharing common resources, and facilitating learning management. The paper will analyze the main features of this innovative approach, reviewing existing solutions and experiences of the adoption of models and infrastructure for the mobile cloud computing in education.
