The lipophylic part of the surface exudate mixture obtained from Salvia adenophora Fernald, which previously showed herbicide activity against Papaver rhoeas L. and Avena sativa L. in dose-response studies and growth experiments [2], was considered for the isolation of cyclic metabolites of the polyunsaturated fatty acids. For these compounds antimicrobial, anti-insecticidal, antifungal and phytotoxic activity are reported. Compounds 1 and 2, were obtained from the n-hexane soluble fraction of the exudate material, subjected to flash column chromatography, and then purified by semi-preparative RP-HPLC. The identification was done by UV, IR, 1H- and 13C-NMR, including COSY, HSQC, HMBC, TOCSY experiments, and HR-ESIMS analysis.
