The main purpose of the "Zooplankton Research group" of the Genova University was to contribute to the knowledge of dynamics and structure of copepod populations living in the Southern Pacific waters and in the Ross Sea and sampled during the Italian Oceanographic Campaign in Antarctica 1989-90. In particular the distribution and composition of main representative specie (Carli et al., 1990a; 1990b) are reported.
