In the last few years the historiography about the Italian resistance has widened its research horizons investigating into – also thanks to the use of new types of sources – movements, groups, figures who have scarcely been considered so far. This allowed the reader to better understand the idea of a more complex liberation movement than it is thought to be, at the same time, to emphasise the unitary effort of its political guide, that is the Comitato di Liberazione Nazionale (CLN). This work focused particularly on the role played by actionists, European federalists, liberals and republicans in the resistance of a town that on April 25th managed to liberate itself with its own forces and forced the enemy to capitulate.

Abstract
In the last few years the historiography about the Italian resistance has widened its research horizons investigating into – also thanks to the use of new types of sources – movements, groups, figures who have scarcely been considered so far. This allowed the reader to better understand the idea of a more complex liberation movement than it is thought to be, at the same time, to emphasise the unitary effort of its political guide, that is the Comitato di Liberazione Nazionale (CLN). This work focused particularly on the role played by actionists, European federalists, liberals and republicans in the resistance of a town that on April 25th managed to liberate itself with its own forces and forced the enemy to capitulate.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
