Abstract

The oxygen reduction mechanism at the Sr doped LaMnO3 and Yttria stabilized zirconia composite cathode for high temperature solid oxide fuel cells is still uncertain, despite the great deal of work carried out over the last years about this system. In previous work we analyzed part of the data by Differential Impedance spectroscopy. The results suggested the significant limitation of the oxygen ion transport in the LSM pure material. The aim of this paper is to characterize the cathodic contribution from the overall impedance spectra varying the partial pressure of reactants.
