The paper presents the model for the representation of a DC link in a transient stability analysis. Particular interest is devoted to the modelling of the DC terminal controller and to its effect on dynamic system behaviour. DC power modulation for damping electromechanical oscillations in an integrated AC/DC system is also introduced. The effectiveness of controls is documented by results of dynamic simulations performed on a realistic configuration.

Abstract
The paper presents the model for the representation of a DC link in a transient stability analysis. Particular interest is devoted to the modelling of the DC terminal controller and to its effect on dynamic system behaviour. DC power modulation for damping electromechanical oscillations in an integrated AC/DC system is also introduced. The effectiveness of controls is documented by results of dynamic simulations performed on a realistic configuration.File in questo prodotto:
