In these notes we introduce in the simplest way some tools of numerical analysis which are mainly used by students of technical subjects. The purpose is to analyze many of commonly used numerical techniques in such a way that users can understand their bounds and qualities. There are five sections: 1. Representation of numbers in computers and problems which rise from approximation. 2. Main techniques for non linear equations by means of fixed point algorithms. 3. Linear algebra and stability of solutions of linear systems. 4. Interpolation, least squares approximations e graphic modeling by means of Bézier and B-spline curves. 5. Numerical integration and some numerical methods in solving differential equations.

Abstract
In these notes we introduce in the simplest way some tools of numerical analysis which are mainly used by students of technical subjects. The purpose is to analyze many of commonly used numerical techniques in such a way that users can understand their bounds and qualities. There are five sections: 1. Representation of numbers in computers and problems which rise from approximation. 2. Main techniques for non linear equations by means of fixed point algorithms. 3. Linear algebra and stability of solutions of linear systems. 4. Interpolation, least squares approximations e graphic modeling by means of Bézier and B-spline curves. 5. Numerical integration and some numerical methods in solving differential equations.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
