This work refers to activities for testing the GNSS positioning Service of Liguria Region, active since January 21st, 2010. The testing committee was composed of personnel of the Geodetic Service of Geographical Military Institute, of the Laboratory of Geodesy, Geomatics and GIS of the University of Genoa, and of the Informative and Telematic Systems Sector of Liguria Region, at the presence of personnel of the GEOTOP company who built the hardware and software infrastructure of the GNSS network. We will introduce the principles according to which survey campaigns were designed, the used methodologies, the achieved results and their analysis. Attention was focused on the various components necessary to enable the Regional Service, summed up in the plant of the infrastructure and of the Computing and Data Processing Centre (CCED), as well as in the services for post-processing and in the differential corrections (DGPS, Nearest, FKP, VRS, MAC and CMR) for real time positioning. The framework of the network of permanent stations was made in the National Dynamics Network (RDN), bringing the user's position in the new National Reference System ETRF2000 (2008.0).
