This paper introduces a pragmatically annotated diachronic corpus of Italian, which is currently being developed as part of the DIADIta project (“Dialogic interaction in diachrony: a pragmatic history of the Italian language”). The DIADIta corpus will facilitate the analysis of the pragmatically relevant categories that characterize dialogic interaction in Italian, while also enabling the exploration of their evolution over time. The paper presents the theoretical foundations of the project and describes the annotation scheme. Additionally, it discusses how the annotation process reveals multiple scenarios of interaction among pragmatic categories, as well as the complexity of the relationship between linguistic forms, pragmatic functions, and pragmatic aims.

Abstract
This paper introduces a pragmatically annotated diachronic corpus of Italian, which is currently being developed as part of the DIADIta project (“Dialogic interaction in diachrony: a pragmatic history of the Italian language”). The DIADIta corpus will facilitate the analysis of the pragmatically relevant categories that characterize dialogic interaction in Italian, while also enabling the exploration of their evolution over time. The paper presents the theoretical foundations of the project and describes the annotation scheme. Additionally, it discusses how the annotation process reveals multiple scenarios of interaction among pragmatic categories, as well as the complexity of the relationship between linguistic forms, pragmatic functions, and pragmatic aims.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
