Swimming is a widespread sport activity that presents important health-preserving characteristics from both the cardiovascular functionality and the spine biomechanics. Difference in performance between occasional swimmers and amateur athletes is often relevant and mainly due to the feeling with water due to constant training, that modifies the gesture to increase its efficiency. Here the biomechanical characterization of the swimming gesture is carried out with different subjects and the measurement approach is discussed in detail.

Abstract
Swimming is a widespread sport activity that presents important health-preserving characteristics from both the cardiovascular functionality and the spine biomechanics. Difference in performance between occasional swimmers and amateur athletes is often relevant and mainly due to the feeling with water due to constant training, that modifies the gesture to increase its efficiency. Here the biomechanical characterization of the swimming gesture is carried out with different subjects and the measurement approach is discussed in detail.File in questo prodotto:
