The project aims to reconstruct Émile Meyerson's epistemology. The first chapter examines the French philosophical context in which Meyerson fits in. The second and third chapters are devoted to the original contribution to epistemological studies and philosophy at the beginning of the 20th century that Meyerson makes with Identité et réalité (1908), De l'explication dans les sciences (1921). The final epilogue discusses Meyerson's last two works, Du cheminement de la pensée (1931) and Réel et déterminisme dans la physique quantique (1933).
