La product intervention nei mercati finanziari e assicurativi

The reforms affected the European Union and Member States since the end of the first decade of the 2000s - as response to the economic and financial crisis - led to a reformulation of the supervisory structure and preparation of new rules for the provision of investment services. The EU legislator initiates a new investor protection system based no longer exclusively on information transparency and on the behavior of intermediaries but also on an anticipation at the time of product design, as well as on a prior public control by the Supervisory Authorities. In this regard, the thesis focuses on the analysis of such changes that have occurred in the regulation of national and EU supervision on the financial and insurance markets, with particular reference to the institution of product intervention. The aim is providing a reconstruction of its institutional and regulatory framework and understanding the related application fields.
