The work is substantially divided into two parts. The first part is dedicated to a synthetic reconstruction and some reflections on the historical-juridical evolution and on the current normative framework (above all constitutional) with regard to the protection of works of art as components of the national historical and artistic heritage. In the second part, attention will be focused on some specific problems considered of particular importance in the current context and in the future.
