Abstract: As part of the research project «The well-informed visitor and the promotion of the tourist offer» funded by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (2014-2020), Mario Bosincu presents in a single volume published in 2020 three works by Ernst Jünger that are both a disenchanted tale of Sardinia and a pas- sionate and nostalgic hymn, namely San Pietro (1957), Serpentara (1957) and Autumn in Sardinia (1965). What emerges in these works is the unique insular character of the earth and of the men described, a character that rises to herme- neutic and metaphysical category.
