The dissertation analyzes the phenomenon of political corruption in the Italian legal system. The first chapter deals with the origin of parties, their provisions in the Italian Constitution and the possibilities to regulate the internal democracy of these particular social formation. The second chapter focuses on the relationship between the corruption scandals in the Italian political context and the insufficient legislative interventions concerning political parties. In the third chapter and in the conclusion, the attention is oriented on the measures to contrast corruption on a national and international level and, consequently, on the possible regulatory interventions that Italy would need to contain political corruption.
