2nd Centro3R Annual Meeting: 3Rs in Italian Universities

1 year from its creation, the 3 Interuniversity Center (Centro3R, www.centro3r.en), boasts some 300 members from Turin and Milan Polytechnic (PolyTO and PolyMI), the Milan-Bicocca (MIBi) and Pavia University (UniPV) and other researchers from other Academia will shortly join this network. On 20th-21st June 2018, the 2nd Annual meeting “3Rs in Italian Universities” was organized by the Genoa Operative Unit, headed by Dr. Anna Maria Bassi, with the relevant contribution of other Centro3R members. The meeting was hosted with the generous support of the Genoa University Rector, Prof. Paolo Comanducci. In addition, several relevant Companies involved in in vitro advanced technologies and cellular models also supported the meeting: IvTech , Jove, MatTek, UPM-Biofore, Prodotti Gianni, Euroclone, Tebu-bio and Voden. The event was successfully sold out in just a few weeks, reaching a record number of 110 participants. This 2-day meeting included talks by representatives from European and National institutions such as Italian Ministers of Health, Education, University and Research, Superior Institute of Health. Furthermore, most of the lectures were provided by several members of each Centro3R OU, as well as by other research institutions and companies engaged in the field of innovative technologies and alternative methods.
