In this study, we propose a proof of concept of a Virtual Reality system able to provide a high degree of engagement and activation to multiple users. Specifically, we designed a game for a collaborative Team-Building experience, we tested the system during a slow rogaining activity and we assessed the participants' appreciation level. Our results show that several persons can be entertained and are able to maintain a high activation, even though only one of them is actually immersed inside a VR experience wearing a Head Mounted Display.

Abstract

In this study, we propose a proof of concept of a Virtual Reality system able to provide a high degree of engagement and activation to multiple users. Specifically, we designed a game for a collaborative Team-Building experience, we tested the system during a slow rogaining activity and we assessed the participants' appreciation level. Our results show that several persons can be entertained and are able to maintain a high activation, even though only one of them is actually immersed inside a VR experience wearing a Head Mounted Display.
