This paper presents an algorithm for the optimal management and control of a Microgrid, both grid-connected and in islanding mode, based on a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) formulation. The proposed procedure is able to manage a system composed of diesel generators, photovoltaic and wind plants, storage devices and non-controllable loads. The problem considers the operational constraints of all devices, with possible additional requirements from the microgrid operator, providing validated optimal solutions in a time that is compatible with the control.

Abstract
This paper presents an algorithm for the optimal management and control of a Microgrid, both grid-connected and in islanding mode, based on a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) formulation. The proposed procedure is able to manage a system composed of diesel generators, photovoltaic and wind plants, storage devices and non-controllable loads. The problem considers the operational constraints of all devices, with possible additional requirements from the microgrid operator, providing validated optimal solutions in a time that is compatible with the control.File in questo prodotto:
