Prè-Visioni - Una nuova porta per la rigenerazione del centro storico di Genova - A new gateway for the regeneration of the old town of Genoa.

The regeneration of the historical centre is one of the constant and recurrent themes in Italian, and not only Italian, cities. The historical part of a town is a subject of extreme complexity and importance that in this book must be read as an indispensable context for what will be illustrated. A context in which, in fact, is illustrated an approach to urban regeneration of historic centres, a methodology developed over the years, the result of numerous and varied opportunities for theoretical study, of the sharing in international research projects, of collaborations with public bodies and private realities, of academic and non-academic teachings; this result has generated several scientific and educational “products”. Here the methodology is illustrated through a real case, a pilot project, Prè-Visioni, in which innovation together with the three pillars of sustainability (environmental, social and economic), are the foundations with which it has developed an experimental proposal for an historical district of Genoa, the District of Prè. The aim is to: explain the assumptions from which the applied research project was born; show the results of a shared work with students, teachers, administrators, citizens, residents, traders, etc..; demonstrate, with real facts, that the project results can be transformed into real initiatives; implement what has been achieved through the replication of this pilot in other parts of the Historical Centre of Genoa and in other cities, Italian and European.

La rigenerazione del centro storico delle città è uno dei temi costanti e ricorrenti nella storia urbana italiana, e non solo italiana. Il costruito storico nel suo insieme è argomento di estrema complessità e importanza che nel presente scritto deve essere letto come un contesto indispensabile per quanto verrà illustrato. Un contesto in cui, infatti, si illustra un approccio alla rigenerazione urbana dei centri storici, una metodologia sviluppata nel corso degli anni, frutto di numerose e variegate occasioni di approfondimento teorico, di condivisione in progetti internazionali di ricerca, di collaborazioni con enti pubblici e realtà private, di didattica accademica e non, e che ha generato diversi “prodotti” scientifici e didattici. Qui la metodologia viene illustrata attraverso un caso reale, un progetto pilota, Prè-Visioni, in cui l’innovazione, insieme ai tre pilastri della sostenibilità (ambientale, sociale ed economica), sono i fondamenti con cui si è sviluppato una proposta progettuale sperimentale per un quartiere del centro storico di Genova, il Quartiere di Prè. La volontà è quella di: spiegare i presupposti da cui è nato il progetto di ricerca applicata; mostrare i risultati di un lavoro condiviso con studenti, docenti, amministratori, cittadini, residenti, commercianti, ecc.; dimostrare, nei fatti, che i risultati progettuali si possono trasformare in reali iniziative; implementare quanto raggiunto mediante la replicazione di questo pilota in altre parti del Centro Storico genovese e in altre città, italiane ed europee.
