La filosofia dell'espressione di Giorgio Colli

In the concept of "expression" - developed in La filosofia dell'espressione and in his posthumous writings collected in La ragione errabonda – Giorgio Colli deals with the idea of representability, i.e. a condition that precedes language, making possible a multiplicity of representations. This dimension poses a fundamental theoretical question, which is addressed by Colli in an original and very interesting way. His reflection can be placed in dialogue with the idea of a prelinguistic root of the linguistic significance, which can be found also, in different forms, in authors such as Husserl and Heidegger, with whom Colli nevertheless was not sympathetic. So it is possible to point out a limit of Colli’s theoretical approach: although he finds - in the dialectic - a dimension of the logos characterized by enrichment and not by loss, he does not recognize an autonomy of the logos itself and remains compromised with a noumenical conception of the immediate near to Schopenhauer’s one.
