Abstract
In history there are often courses and resorts. The development of settlements and territories, as an expression of cultural, political, economic and social life, can, in this sense, be interpreted as a spiral that repeats in a continuous rotation, re-reading and passing (under and through the lens of interpretation of new and more efficient technologies) desires, wishes and goals … Genoa between 800 and 900 provides a system of urban and suburban mobility in which the pedestrian is the subject of choice, thanks to the development of an intermodal prematurely that the benefits making the movements, the more can be fast, easy and straightforward. Unfortunately, however, this cutting-edge system, generated by the virtuous combination of morphological, political, economic and social conditions of the city, will be largely dismantled and overall compromise by subsequent developments. Today, the renewed idea of progress, requiring changing needs and logic of urban development with particular attention to issues of environmental sustainability and management of networks and urban streams, highlight the entire vanguard of that ancient scenery and pushes the city struggled to re-convert back their mobility in key intermodal.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
