The two-photon absorption spectrum of red polyDCHD-HS in benzene solution has been measured by means of fluorescence excitation and optoacoustic detection in the 1600-750 run exciting wavelength region. Two band systems have been observed and assigned to two-photon allowed A(g) --> A(g) transitions, both at energies higher than that of the one-photon allowed 1B(u) state. An estimate of the two-photon absorptivity is given at 406 nm using optoacoustic detection.

Abstract
