The teaching theme in design directly affects the issue of growth concerning the formation staffs and the territorial and cultural system with which it relates. A survey, presented at the International Forum "Innovation in Design Education" 03-05 November, 2011 Torino, Italy, is documenting the outcomes and processes used in the management of collaborative activities between universities, enterprises and institutions of the territory and their effects as an engine for economic and cultural development. The objective is to analyze the experiences of the past to plan for the future, contributing to the revitalization and the creation of opportunities for recovery, through virtuous exchanges between the world of education and the world of production and of social reality.

Abstract
