The authors think that the laser is destined to become more and more indispensable to general surgery. The extension of the methods of applications of the laser in the oncological field, with the dye-lasers, will allow not only the diagnosis of many kinds of carcinoma but, also, the 'aimed' photoradiant therapy for neoplastic cells. We think that this step is not too far from 'cellular or DNA' laser-surgery. Finally, among the future prospects of the development of the laser in general surgery, we believe that the realization of 'mixed source' laser devices, according to clinical necessity and application, that is now CO2, now argon, now Nd-Yag, etc., will be undoubtedly fundamental. This would represent a basic component for the definitive success of the laser in general surgery, without disregarding, the relation costs/advantages which are so important.

Abstract
This would represent a basic component for the definitive success of the laser in general surgery, without disregarding, the relation costs/advantages which are so important.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
