The book, after having traced the history of ECHR Treaty from the signature to the latest amendment protocols (chapter I), also deals with the national measures for the protection of the Convention (Chapter II), and the enforcement of judgements of the European Court, by distinguishing between individual and general measures of implementation (Chapter III), and finally shows the indirect effects of such judgement on States adherent to the Convention (Chapter IV).
