The paper illustrates the application of the basic theoretical tenets of ‘Natural Text Linguistics’ to the linguistic analysis of literary translation. It has a particular focus on ‘marked textual strategies’ in Kafka’s Die Verwandlung, and investigates their reflection in some Italian translations. ‘Markedness’ is thereby defined by means of universal, semiotically based parameters such as iconicity and diagrammaticity.

Abstract
The paper illustrates the application of the basic theoretical tenets of ‘Natural Text Linguistics’ to the linguistic analysis of literary translation. It has a particular focus on ‘marked textual strategies’ in Kafka’s Die Verwandlung, and investigates their reflection in some Italian translations. ‘Markedness’ is thereby defined by means of universal, semiotically based parameters such as iconicity and diagrammaticity.File in questo prodotto:
