Dimitré Dinev: Märchenerzähler und Mythenflüsterer der Migration.

The paper is divided into three parts. The first part is entitled “(Foreign) Language as Heimat” and deals with biographical and language biographical aspects of Dimetré Dinev’s work. It also points out, based on his statements about language socialization and language formation, how his writing is shaped by his particular language awareness and even language critical tendencies. The second part, under the title “Magical anti-fairy tales”, is devoted to Dinev’s narrative works, which form the basis of his early fame, and demonstrates that characteristics of an east European, Slavic narrative tradition are among the founding factors of what critics and the reading public see as the innovative nature of German-speaking literature by non-native speakers of German. Lastly, the third part, “Dimitré Dinev – poeta doctus”, looks at the author’s plays and illustrates where and how Dinev makes use of myths and mythology in order to interpret current living conditions from a cultural critical perspective.
